Strategic acquisitions - particularly of respected brands like Germany’s Carl Wittkopp and Italy’s Tecnosicurezza - have armed Gunnebo with deep technical expertise, intellectual property, and engineering talent.   Rather than simply absorbing these companies, Gunnebo has elevated their strengths into a cohesive, innovation-driven force: the Global Locking Solutions team. And the mission goes beyond integrating legacy technology. Its focus is firmly on redefining what high-security locking can achieve in today’s connected, risk-sensitive world.   As industries such as banking, retail, cash-in-transit, and critical infrastructure face increasingly complex threats, the demand for adaptable, intelligent locking solutions has never been greater. Gunnebo Safe Storage Global Locking Solutions team is meeting this demand with bold ambition and fresh thinking.  ### Product Innovation One clear example is [the launch of AmpliSec™](https://www.gunnebosafestorage.com/products/amplisec/), the first connected high-security lock developed by Tecnosicurezza under the Gunnebo umbrella. AmpliSec™ combines traditional mechanical resilience with cutting-edge digital functionality, including cloud-based management via Gunnebo iQ™ and Bluetooth®-enabled configuration. This hybrid approach empowers users to control access, manage workflows, and monitor lock activity remotely addressing both security and operational efficiency.  “AmpliSec™ isn’t just a product, it’s a platform,” says Olof Sandberg, Product Manager for Global Locking Solutions. “It’s designed for a future where physical security must be agile, responsive, and connected. We’re not just protecting assets; we’re enabling smarter decision-making through data and connectivity.” ![Olof Sandberg, Product Manager](https://blog.gunnebosafestorage.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Gunnebo-8843.jpg?width=331&height=496&name=Gunnebo-8843.jpg) The Global Locking Solution team's approach reflects a broader shift within Gunnebo Safe Storage - from being a manufacturer of secure storage products to becoming a global leader in security ecosystems. By integrating encrypted communication, tamper-resistant hardware, and sustainable design into its locks, Gunnebo is offering solutions that reflect the complexity and urgency of modern security needs.  ### Futureproof Security What makes this achievement even more noteworthy is that Gunnebo Locking Solutions is relatively new to the locking space as a brand. Yet, in just a short span, it has begun to set benchmarks typically associated with the sector’s legacy players. That success speaks volumes about the clarity of its vision and the strength of its strategic integration.  Geographically, the Global Locking Solutions team is already gaining traction in key growth markets such as India, Malaysia, and the Middle East, with expansion into Europe and the Americas firmly on the roadmap. This global rollout ensures that Gunnebo’s next generation locking technologies are as accessible as they are advanced.  Kate Clark, VP Global Locking Solutions concludes: “In a time when security is increasingly digital, distributed, and dynamic, our team is proving that innovation doesn’t require a long legacy - just a clear vision, the right expertise, and a commitment to challenge the status quo.”    ![AmpliSec](https://blog.gunnebosafestorage.com/hs-fs/hubfs/AmpliSec-003%5Bweb%5D-20250317113648.jpg?width=790&height=545&name=AmpliSec-003%5Bweb%5D-20250317113648.jpg)     - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) [![Understanding EN 1300 Certification for Electronic Locks](https://blog.gunnebosafestorage.com/hubfs/G-Encry-EN1300.jpg)](https://blog.gunnebosafestorage.com/insights/understanding-en1300-certification-locks?hsLang=en) #### [Understanding EN 1300 Certification for Electronic Locks](https://blog.gunnebosafestorage.com/insights/understanding-en1300-certification-locks?hsLang=en) ![Picture of Olof Sandberg](https://blog.gunnebosafestorage.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Olof-Sandberg-2026-001-20260313104516.jpg?width=30&name=Olof-Sandberg-2026-001-20260313104516.jpg) [Olof Sandberg](https://blog.gunnebosafestorage.com/insights/author/olof-sandberg) : Jun 11, 2025, 12:44:02 PM When it comes to high-security electronic locks, certification plays a crucial role in ensuring reliability and resistance against unauthorised...
